Lumpy skin disease is a new disease in Europe and Asia its attacks on cattle. it is transmitted mostly by insect bites flies mosquitoes and ticks accelerated by bringing in infected cattle from affected regions it usually appears during the warmer months when insects are more active and abundant. its very dangerous disease for animals, its specially affected cows and buffaloes

How to save this disease
New animals should be examined prior to movement and on arrival and should be kept in quarantine for 28 days, and apply regularly a good and certified insect repellent on your animals keep the farm free of breeding sites for insects.
Like standing water and wet dung farm visitors should be restricted to essential service and all visitor vehicles equipment and boots should be cleaned before entering the farms,
Should be used vaccination the best way to protect your animals is through vaccination, effective vaccines will completely protect your herd in three weeks however cattle must be vaccinated at least two weeks before the herd gets infected keep in mind that although very rare, it is possible to have mild side effects after vaccination that disappear shortly like some swelling at the vaccination site or short-lived fever.after vaccination the virus is not affect in your animals, when the virus comes in your farm and animals are not vaccinated then contact with vet officer and immediately start the treatments.
